If your child isn't too entertained by all of the pavilions, activities, re-enacting, food, live music, or any other aspect of the festival, there is always a playground they can resort to near the river. Also, if your child just needs to burn off some excess energy, this is the spot to come to. However, I truly doubt that your child won't be entertained enough by the festival itself, as many of the venues within the festival are directly geared towards young children. Face painting, candle dipping, pioneer rides, ring tossing, and a straw maze are just a few of the activities the festival has to offer for children. In fact, I can still remember going through the straw maze as a kid with my brother in the early 90's.
